The emblem of a new fraternity
‘Lapis Lazuli’ recognized, as a stone of ‘total awareness’ was a symbolic choice for Al Madina A’Zarqa.
The stone is more than what meets the eye. It tucks a whole new world beneath the surface that transports you to a mystical yet beautiful universe inside it. This unique characteristic finds its similarity in the concept of the ‘blue city’.
The Lapis signifies equilibrium, health and positive thinking. It brings in positive energies for protection, inter –reliance and is known to correlate the heart and the mind. Its color blue is a reflection of the soul.
The rarity of the ‘Lapis Lazuli’ makes it a precious stone. It shares yet another characteristic of becoming priceless with age. It tells tales of those who journeyed with it and left behind their trails. This would be the future of our new city whose development stages will become legendary; and the tradition of the land will speak of its paradigm of transformation.

Rising to the occasion, a vision was conceived for a new city, which will not just boost tourism and investments; but create new economic drivers that will soon become major contributors towards the country’s GNP.
This city is envisaged as a locale for exceptionally high quality of life and a point of reference for cities to be developed in the 21st Century, both in the region and throughout the world.

Al Madina A’Zarqa represents a brand new state of the art development on the coast of the Sultanate of Oman. A whole new city for the present and the future generations; it will be home to more than 200,000 people.
The project is conceptualised according to highest international standards; providing residents and visitors a living and working environment that is advanced, productive, culturally satisfying and safe.
Al Madina A’Zarqa, inspired by the Omani hospitality and genuine warmth, emerges as a legendary development sharing history with Sindbad’s voyages and experiences from traders on the Silk Route to Oman.
By adding a dot on Oman’s map, Al Madina A’Zarqa is creating a new destination for the world. This will become the birth of a unique and unprecedented event.
